Custom Stair Runners

Unique stairs runners make a boring staircase a focal point of your home.   The stairs shown above had a plain beige carpet before we put our touches to it.  For this set of curved stairs, we used input from our client along with tying in some continuity from the Nourison wool diamond pattern carpet that we installed in the media room.  Because the stair is curved, we had each step individually made so that the pattern in the border matched.

Custom Area Rugs

Shown in these photos is an example of how creative we can be in creating a rug for a client’s need.  In this case, Leading Edge Aviation in Costa Mesa wanted an area rug for their conference room (notice the airplane wing conference table).  Our design incorporated a logo of a seat belt being fasten like you see from the passenger seat on every commercial aircraft.  The red field of the rug uses several shades of red to create an “abrash” effect.  In addition, we incorporated a “salt & pepper” transition to blend the end of the seat belt strap into the field of the area rug.

Ascend Custom Rugs & Carpet

Once again, Hemphill’s Rugs & Carpets has used their contacts worldwide to come up with something really spectacular!  Featured in this slide show are just a few examples of custom rug and wall to wall carpet products available from a resource in New Zealand.  In fact, we will be touring their facility in New Zealand later this year.  These designer quality products can be custom shaped, sized and colored.  Unique to this line is the use of bamboo in creating a few of these products.

The ordering process will include selecting the product.  Choose from short shags, core wrap yarns, long shags, stripes, etc.  Then you select your colors.  Choose from standard colors or we can submit a color (paint chips, fabrics, another carpet) and get a strike off for approval made.

And while a picture may be worth 1000 words, these photos can’t do these floorcoverings justice. The texture and feel cannot be conveyed in a photograph.

Carousel Custom Woven

The extraordinary skill of  hand weavers has made Carousel a Mecca for hand woven rugs and carpets. Hemphill’s Rugs & Carpets has a wide variety of area rugs to choose from.  In certain cases, our clients needs demand that we create something especially for them. Perhaps they have a certain size or shape that is not available in an “off the shelf” area rug.  Perhaps the client does not want a busy pattern offered in the typical oriental or Tibetan style area rug.  One of our options to fill a client’s need would be to create a border rug using broadloom carpet that we have on display in our showroom.  We can add simple or complex borders to “frame” the field of the rug.  Shown in the slideshow are five area rugs created using J Mish carpet.  J Mish is a purveyor of fine nylon and wool carpets that are made in the USA.  A recent tour of their manufacturing facility in Georgia inspired us to get a little more creative with their products and the way that we show them.

Custom Hair on Hide Area Rugs

Hemphill’s Rugs & Carpets continues to search the world for great looking unique products for your floors. We are featuring a collection of hair on hide rugs that offer some interesting stitching options not found elsewhere. These rugs can be made in whatever size you desire. We offer the sewn squares in a variety of sizes ranging from 2″ to 16″. An additional border of leather can be added as well.
